Just added some factory PVD coated coyote parts. I’m going to send an Apex trigger, slide release and mag release out to be pvd in coyote to match. I have a barrel from L2D in black DLC on the way. Then I am going to have the slide refinished in the Troy FDE cerakote. That should complete this build. Then I am going to start my commander build. A carry II frame with a 3.6” barrel. Essentially the same as my M18 but with a 3.6” barrel, Surefire XC FDE weapon light and an RMR HRS.

I still need to install the sear housing and I updated the extractor with a tool steel Lone Wolf extractor. Not sure it’s an upgrade I just like the profile better.

I got it off small gun parts. Midwest Gun Works had them too but they were more expensive. SPG typically has petter pricing and ships really fast. As for the function, yes it works with the standard P320. It doesn't require any special tool, just a torx head. It works really simple, it rotates to lock the pin in place. So removing it requires the user to push the button with a torx head, rotate and unlock. Once it's unlocked you just depress the button like normal and slide the slide plate off. I'll take pics tomorrow when I'm back home. It's a neat little novelty but having it installed means you now need a torx head to do a complete tear down vs just needing a single punch with the original pin.

Just a quick update, got my Safariland ALS RDS version in. It took over 60 days. Talking with someone at Safariland as it turns out the wrapping in condura is what is taking them so long. Since there are companies out there now that do this with a week to two weeks long turn around time, I recommend just buying your holster in either black or coyote and sending it out to be wrapped yourself vs the long wait from Safariland. Plus the custom wrap places can do any colors or patterns you want. I just ordered a black version that I’m going to send off to have wrapped in purple for the wife’s gun.

Anyways, here it is in Multicam. Per usual Safariland knocks it out of the park. Exceptional fit and function. Excellent retention. I use the QLS forks mounted on a mid ride belt mount on my battle belt. I also installed the Nub mod which just adds a little leverage and size to the release mec for the holsters kicking system.

That's correct. It's a great deal. I was able to get $50 off my wife's holster. Plus the purple condura wrap cost I saved $20ish dollars over all and since these are the mass produced holsters they ship pretty quick. Great deal all around.

Looking good.  Did you get an M18 or M17 sized holster?  I have an M17 6390 RDs; it locks up on my M18 if there is a flashlight on it.  With no flashlight I can twist the gun and slip it past the ALS mechanism.

I went with the M18 sized holster. All my P320s are either 3.9 or 3.6".

Neat. I almost bought one of those grip modules. They looked nice.

Took this photo today. I have two M18’s and a M17B that are not pictured.

Photo ended up sideways. Anyway the two tan triggers are the new custom shop FCU’s. Two guns shown are 357 Sig. Rest are 9mm.

The 357 is actually my carry gun right now. May transition to the M18 soon. Not sure yet. I have another Docter adapter that’s ready to go on the next DPP footprint.  Also need to mount more optics. I have another 7 Docter optics red dots sitting in boxes ready for use. I did hold. And AXG this weekend and was impressed. The same shop also had an X5 in the case for the same price as the AXG. That would have been and easy decision.

My P320 .45 ACP with its new TLR-7A.

Slide is factory bare stainless with 3.9" barrel.
Grip module is cut-down full-size medium, so I can still use 10-round mags (ersatz Carry module).
Gen 1 slide release and takedown lever.

Got my X-Compact slide back from the gunsmith. What was supposed to be two weeks has taken over a month and to top it off I think he sprayed it with the H series and not the elite. All my other elite sprayed guns are coated thin and this one looks really thick. Beyond that they reinstalled a thr old front sight and chipped the finish. So I’m going to send it out to somewhere else. Anyways. The plan is to pair this X-Compact slide with a PMM micro comp which will make it roughly the same length as my M18s.

The M18 is Cerakote Elite Coyote 20150 which is the Federal Standard 20150 color . The X-Compact is the M17 Coyote color.

Side by side I kind of like the 20150 Fed Standard. It’s an interesting color that in some lighting conditions looks reddish orange.

So I'm seeing that the mag well area of the 2 WC Grip Mods in your picture are different. The black one is "cut out". Why is that?

I have a black WC "Carry" mod coming (today hopefully) and now I'm wondering which one I'm getting?

It’s the way WC does it. It looks like WC just cuts down one of their Carry II modules to a compact grip length. Personally I don’t like it. The Carry II module pairs a full size grip length 17 round mags with the 3.6” Sub Compact/X-Compact slide. This set up balances really well. Shoots amazing. This is the way to go IMO rather than the compact/X-Compact length grip because of that cheesy cut out. Your carry grip will be the full size length without a cut out that pairs with the 3.9” compact slide.

I’m actually carrying my Carry II variation today. Full length grip, 3.6 sub compact slide. Very comfortable.

OK so the black frame in your first pic is their "compact" grip? That makes sense. The difference between the "Carry" and "CarryII" is the dust cover length (Carry for 3.9 carry/compact slides and the Carry II for 3.6 XCompact slides)?

I ordered the "Carry" grip for my full length slide (I like that shorter 1911'ish look like the M17's have) and was debating between the Carry or CarryII for my 3.9 carry upper. I could go either way with that one but leaning towards the CarryII? I assume the dust cover/rail on the CarryII will still work with just about any light out there?

Correct about the dust cover length. The Carry is 3.9” and the Carry II is 3.6”. The Carry II doesn’t fit the Surefire X300, I’m not sure about the TLR-1. The Carry II will fit the Streamlight TLR-7 and the Olight PL2. The Carry II will work with the 3.9” compact slide length but the slide will extend past the dust cover. Some people like this look as it gives the pistol the appearance of the classic P series. The standard Carry slide is flush for the 3.9” slide and does work with the Surefire X300U.

Yes, the black grip module is the compact grip length.

Decided to make my own M18 compact. M17 non safety Small module that I cut for the safety and chopped for 15rd mags. I hate short slide/long grip pistols, so this feels great.

It's about 90% finished. Need to sand the cuts better and then I'll probably stipple it all. I have a Holosun 507v2 on a Bobro plate on my M17. It's great and all, but that stupid front sight has to be a mile high to cowitness, so I'm slightly at a loss with what I want to do with this one, currently.

The carry II setup has really become my favorite grip. I'm going to have to order a cutting jig and cutout the safety notch. I'm ok ne of the people that likes the look of the carry II with a carry slide. It's a classic look to me and it would be going on an M18 reciever /top end

My latest and greatest, and - to my knowledge - the only P320 built with a non-reciprocating frame-mounted sighting system (excluding braced chassis systems IE Flux Defense and B&T).

And yes, this gun was built with full intention to be an EDC gun. Just have to sort out the right holster for the job

Well, when it gets here there is an L2D Combat barrel inside. I finally decided to just order one to test. I haven’t found any performance reviews online for the barrel. Just a few YT videos but they only discuss ascetics. My interest in the L2D barrel is the supposed tighter lock up and target crown. My hope is that it will perform on par with the X-Carry and X-Five barrels. My X-Carry is easily my most accurate P320. The problem with the X-Carry though it that it is not cut for any optic but the older Romeo. To install a rear sight it will have to go out to be milled. My hope is that the L2D paired with my M18 will match my X-Carry’s performance. We’ll see.

Initial impressions, it is an attractive barrel, sharp rifling, the lock up is noticeably tighter, the crown should be an improvement. I plan to actually test fire this barrel for accuracy soon to determine if it is worth the $215 price tag or not. My hope is that it will be and accuracy will be on par with my X-Carry marksman barrel.

I wish Sig used the same barrel in the X-Compact as well. When I first got my X-Compact I was kind of disappointed that it had a standard barrel.

Have you tried to put your X-Carry barrel in your M18? You’d have to remove the LCI but I’ve heard that some M18 slides have been able to use the X-Carry barrel. Makes me wonder. Mine doesn’t fit.

Interesting. Mine doesn’t. Can you see if your X-Carry barrel will fit in your M18? Does your X-Carry barrel have the target crown? I also wonder if Sig uses the same footprint as the M18 for the optic mounting plate.

My X-Carry, no LCI. Romeo 1 foot print.
