I am done for now with my acquisitions. I wanted one example from each 1K unit range and wound up with:
TF000419 TF001099 TF002099 TF003212 - 307th Support BN, 82nd ABN Division, Inventoried in 1/16/18 Out of Inventory 3/11/19 TF004322 TF005114 I hope to find out more about my other pistol’s history before the data is lost forever. I got lucky on one from a helpful friend on the FB group. |
|
There is a chunk of serial numbers in the TF000006 to TF005908 range that we probably will not see. I do not know what the quantity was.
I discovered by accident during some of my research that some were issued to the 20th Special Forces Group. I did not see anything to indicate they were turned in like the current market pistols were. |

I have 418. I was wondering who had the adjacent serials to mine. That's one! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Well, I spent more than I wanted to (impatient little shit that I am), but I have a 10XX serial in great shape headed my way. Now I can sleep at night
|
|
Ended up with 631 831 4799 and 4303
Was hoping for a sequential pair but I was drunk bidding on 831 and thought it was 630 from the pics I am done buying because the boss said so |

With these M17 pistols, I wouldn't put much of a price premium on sequential serial numbers. Just looking at the master serial number list on FB, there are hundreds of potential sequential numbers, unlike other historical firearms where sequential serial numbers are rarely seen.
Another thing goes against the value of sequential numbers when you go to sell them, is the fact that fewer people have the funds available to purchase two pistols vs. one. I've been through this on other historical firearms with sequential numbers. There is lots of interest but fewer buyers. Cass |

Called k5 arms in Texas. On a waist list of 100 guns they are supposedly getting. Had to pay the full deposit. What’s the chances of them getting all 100?
|
|
I think the new guns are all done. New ones haven’t showed up in over a week and new listings on gb are now a trickle.
Gunbroker may be the only spot to find these now Grab one before they are $2000+ |

I just saw 00098 at a gun show today. Too bad it’s on gunbroker.

This bodes well for my 83 if I ever decide to sell. I wonder if all of the guns that are going to be released have been sent out yet. Anyone know on this?

View Quote An employee of Sig that posts here has said Sig shipped all of them out awhile ago to distributors. I think from this point forward we will see dealers who have held on to their stock as an investment and they slowing release them for max profits and private sellers. Maybe the very rare and random LGS find. |

Sig says all were released to distributors and most distributors say that all are shipped.

They said they are trickling in. They have had 15 come in. I called a week ago and it was 8. I paid full price for two, and would rather have my money back, if their isn’t a possibility of getting them in.

Very low Consecutive SN's. Where will this one end?

One of my pistols was spotted in a newspaper article bout the 101st ABN getting their new pistols in November of 2017. That was a pleasant surprise http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/data/500/636475539842986206-37970429604-dd543f7a80-o.jpg View Quote |

Greetings to all !! New member here. I was fortunate enough to secure 3 of the M17s and would appreciate any info on their history. I have TF000472, TF000800 and TF001711. Interestingly, 472 has a black stick-on scan code in place of the laser code. Not sure why that happened. All three are fairly clean. Have shot 472 ..... it's right on the money. I have added a Romeo 1 Pro to it and waiting to return to the range to set it. Thanks to all who respond. T
