Is this normal? I have tried two slides on this and both have the same amount of play. I hate to be that guy but this does bother me.

How do I hotlink something?

How much does it rattle with a full magazine inserted?
here is your video

What do you believe is the issue with a slight rattle? Many, many, many semi-auto pistols rattle a bit when shaken. I checked my P320 and it rattles slightly without the mag seated, and not at all that I can detect with an empty mag seated.

It is a high volume production device, and I'd be amazed if any parts in it are hand fitted at all. If its hand fitted you crave, there are a large number of high end 1911 'smiths who would be happy to accommodate you.

Mag or no mag and loaded or unloaded the play is the same.

OP, my P320 compact rattles worse than that with no magazine inserted.  Mine only has a couple hundred rounds through it.  However, it runs like a top and is very accurate. I wouldn't worry unless you are experiencing problems with the pistol.

Mine does the exact same thing.  Still been 100% reliable.  Wouldn't worry

My old West German P226 rattles pretty good as well,  but that thing is probably the most accurate pistol I own.

I have never felt the need to shake a pistol. I don't know what that shows or accomplishes.

Now if the pistol groups at 7 yards like a shotgun at 25 yards, check to see if the barrel moves when it's locked in the slide, but slide rattle means nothing.

It's all fun and games until someone shakes their pistol.

Hopefully I can shoot it Sunday and make sure it shoots ok. If it shoots and functions good then I am not going to worry about it.

Now I need to find some place with magazines in stock

It's a mass produced semi not a custom hand fitted 1911.

Whats the problem?

Odd. The slide will receive upward pressure from a loaded magazine. Mine has noticeable upward pressure with an empty mag as well.

Might try Quantico Tactical. They usually have 3 packs for around $100.

It shoots REALLY good and does seem to tighten up a little bit when loaded. I love this gun and may even ditch my M&Ps to get more 320s.

Sold out

Got three 17 rounders at gunmagwarehouse for just a couple more dollars. $109 for three magazines is rough when you are used to M&P and Glock magazines.
