I use the one from Galco.  It is for my 239 but the 229 fits nice in it just like it is made for it.

Old faithful and concealment solutions, both iwb
. The old faithful is less rigid then the cocelment solutions is but both can swap shells for different guns

Desantis F.A.M.S with Lock Hole Holster fits Sig P229
This is the most comfortable holster I have ever had! It is an unlined,  all leather holster. The design is such that it is relatively flat on the back side and the gun is on top of the back leather and the top leather is molded over it. The design still pulls it close to the body. This makes it slightly different from a conventional "pancake' holster where the gun is simply sandwiched in between two pieces of leather. Leather completely covers the trigger guard and trigger. If you need to secure your gun, the lock hole is an excellent feature as it prevents the gun from being removed from the holster. You may run a small padlock or even handcuffs through it. The thumbsnap strap covering the hammer has an extra curved area on the forward edge to protect clothing from the rear sight. This holster seems to have just slightly more cant than some others that I have and that is taking a bit to get used to. I could be my imagination though. The Secret Service and other federal agencies use this holster. After owning one, I understand why. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have  a Shaggy AIWB that I like, have a Crossbreed Supertuck that is OK (if I carry concealed now I usually use the Shaggy).  Mostly wear it in a cheap Uncle Mike's nylon holster (it is my workshop pistol).

Comp-Tac MTAC. Love it. Cheaped out when I was getting a holster for the PPQ and bought an AG Cloak Tuck 3. Ugh. Shoulda spent the money on another MTAC. May still.

Alien Gear cloak tuck 2.0 and I absolutely hate it! I've stopped carrying the sig for now because the holster is uncomfortable, not stiff enough, and too damn big for the gun its carrying.

M11-A1 owner here - basically a non-railed 229.
For IWB I use a Milt Sparks VMII
For OWB - Blackpoint Tactical

If your P229 is non-railed you can get a military surplus M11 holster for around $20. I have one for my P228&P239, fit and finish are great.

The most comfortable IWB I've ever carried.

I live in central Texas where the heat and humidity can reek havoc on a pistols finish and on you personally.

This holster is amazing when it comes to dealing with sweat and moisture.

I am issued this with my current agency and i was against it at first, but it is growing on me.  I went from carrying a raven phantom with x300U to no light and a snap.  Wearing with a suit or just dockers, it isnt bad and hasnt bled dye on my shirts, so I cant complain.  IT was really tight when i got it and slowed down on draw times but after a few months of banging around in the car, getting stuck on my arm rest in the office , and going to the range it broke in nicely.  Not my first choice, but not the last either.

Have you had experience using it concealment, like with tshirt or polo?

Only if it's for a railed 226.

You sure about that? My non railed 229 won't even come close to fitting in my 226R holster. Slide is way too fat.

Use a Vigilance Tactical kydex owb and also have an iwb of there's as well. A local company that was doing good work however the original owner is now no longer in the business as of a few months ago.

Thanks for the tip. Got one last week for my M11A1. Quality is up there with Galco and some others I have. Including the shipping was still under 30 bucks. Been wearing it around the house to break it in; very nice!

CompTac MTAC slide.

I've carried both 226 and 229 in the holster.  Basic contour also fits the XDs (sub to full size) and I've carried those as well.

229's holster wise come in a few different sizes.
M11A1 or 9mm sass = slimmest
229 in 9mm with rail = medium
229 in .40 with rail = widest
9mm slide is not as wide as a .40/357 slide.
I use a leather pancake holster made for a 228 for my M11A1. This holster is too tight for my 229 in .40.

What brand kydex holsters will fit a 229 in .40 with a legacy slide?  II just picked up a CPO 229 in .40.  I tried it in a Raven Concealment for a 229, but it is too tight.  I'm assuming the Raven is for a 9mm.
