Is there a light out there that fits the SIG P series rail? Besides the one made by SIG? I was thinking of getting a TR-1 but read using it on the SIGs could cause damage to the finish of the gun and the light.

So which light are people using?

Thanks

Surefire x400 on Sig 1911 Tacops Carry
Had to sand down the plastic spacer on the Surefire in order to align it properly.

No problems with a tlr-1 hl on my 226.

If you're concerned put a small piece of electrical tape on the rail.

Depends which SIG you have.  Some have SIG-style rails, and some have mil-spec rails..

I use a TLR-2 on a P229 and P320 with no issues.

TLR-1 HL on my p226 .40 tacops. No issues, no problems, and it is a work gun.

Thanks all.

If this was a work gun I would not care about messing up the finishes but being I will be using this on my own guns, screwing up the finish is a concern. Sounds like no problems with the TRL-1.

The TRL-1 will very likely rub off the finish in spots if you fire the gun with it on, as will any direct metal on metal application, sooner or later.  I know from experience.  I've used a cut bike innner tube as a spacer on BBQ guns.
