If you have read my last two posts about having to send my last 4 Sigs back to Sig b/c they didn't function right, here is an update. Sig customer service is very good. They paid shipping both ways, only had the gun about 2 weeks total, including shipping time. They replaced the recoil spring, polished the feed ramp, and adjusted the extractor. Also put 40 rounds through it. The gunsmith said it worked flawlessly. I took it to the range twice this week, put close to 150 rounds of ball through it, it worked perfectly. Then I ran several magazines of HP through it and again, it worked perfectly. Very accurate, easy on the hands, really like the short reset trigger. No complaints. I was wanting a P239 SAS Gen 2 Nitron, in 9mm. One followed me home today. I am going to give it a good cleaning, properly lube it, and hope all goes well. I cannot believe I would have to send 5 in a row back. Maybe I will try it out Monday or Tuesday, if not sooner.
Thanks for listening/reading, Mark |

No, they came from 2 different dealers, one being a friend of mine, the other got me my X6 when they were very hard to get. I trust both of them. Just my luck. Every other gun I have bought from them has run just fine.
Thanks, Mark Quoted:
o.k., NOW buy a lottery ticket! ETA: Glad to hear SIG took care of you. Just out of curiosity, because I don't remember the background on the original thread....did you purchase all 5 pistols from the same place/dealer? |

I read some where that the 224 has bushings in the frame for the grip screws. Would it be possible to post a picture of it if they do have them Here ya go. Hey, no problem, I wasn't wild about taking my grips off yet. You saved me the hassle of trying to figure out how to use photobucket. Thanks, Mark |

Sorry to here all your troubles with your Sig's. I bought my first Sig P226 9mm back in 1980. I put 4,000 round thru it with out any trouble. I gave it to my son around 1995. I am down her in Florida 23 years. In the last 23years I have bought 13 Sig's. never had any trouble with any of them.
I am taking my P938 SAS to the range to see how it shoots tomorrow. This is my second 938, my son an LEO is using the first one I bought. I have the P224 for around 3 months but over 300 rounds thru it no hang ups Just sold a Mosquito that the wife was not using, had no trouble with that 22. The wife and I have to many 22's, made room in the safe..:-) |
