| I just got 5 mags from Cope's Distributing. All factory pre '94 13rd mags. Three have small dove tails down the middle and say Sig Sauer 228 on the side. The other two have large dove tails down the middle with Sig Sauer only, no 228. What's the difference? The ones with the large dove tails also have a three small "S" co-joined in the middle of a circle. The small dove tails appear to have a shinier finish on them. |
| One set is earlier production than the other....I don't recall which is which, but we had some issues with Sig mags separating at the seams if left loaded fully for years (almost all I have seen were with 220 .45 mags) and they changed the design some. Both will be fine, I suspect, as not all of either design had problems. |
