I have taken a few sigs apart (220, 226, 228 and 229).  I am not an expert but have not had any problems.

I got this 229 DAO that I took completely apart.  Not paying attention when taking the Sear pin out (All the usual parts fall out and I start cleaning).  As I was putting the loose parts in a container I noticed a spring and an extra piece I wasn't familiar with.  I went on cleaning and stared putting it back together and figured out where the extra piece went  except the spring.  The gun functions but I have this spring here that I cant figure out what its for!  I don't have a manual and every video with a p229 has a regular frame!

This is it.  Let me know what I need to do.

This is a DAO and I have been thinking about converting it to a DA/SA.  I saw that all I need is a (Hammer, Decocker lever, spring and bearing).  When I took off the grips to disassemble I noticed the decocker spring and bearing already there.  Does that mean all I need is a Hammer and Lever?

Thanks

Eddie

It looks like you have a frame with a magazine disconnect. Rather than reposting everything here, check out these links where it has been described before. Good luck!

Converting to da/sa, you'll need different grips also.
