I have two p226s.  One is a 9mm st stainless frame, and the other is the 40 cal aluminum frame.  I have swapped the slides and fired them.  There were no problems.  Does anyone know if this may cause any future problems with the pistols if the slides are interchanged and several thousand rounds are fired?

I asked a similar question a while back...

should be fine, seeing as the lower is the same between the two.

Thanks for replying.  The answer I got from sig was it wasn't recommended, but the guy couldn't give me any reason why not.  He didn't seem very knowledgable, so I did it anyway.  Hope nothing goes wrong.
I plan on using the 40 on the stainless frame for ipsc, and the 9 on the stainless frame for idpa.  The alloy frame is for carry.

Check the locking blocks. IIRC they are different between the 9mm and the 40.357.
