How much difference is there between regular and short trigger????

Very little. Have one installed on a P245 and reach is not that much different. I wish it were but it is not.

It's only at most 1/8" shorter. BUT it doesn't have the annoying ridges on the trigger.

The short triggers are actually just thinner triggers, and there isn't much difference in the two. If your reach is just a little under what you're comfortable with, though, they can be helpful.
