Curious if anyone has a short trigger installed on their Sig and what's the benefit to it?

Thanks,

Just to clarify your question, are you referring to the "short reach trigger" (thinner trigger to reduce trigger reach) or the SRT "Short Reset Trigger" (reduced reset travel sear set up to reduce the distance the trigger travels forward after the shot is fired, before it resets for the next shot)?

Either way, I have and love both of them and can answer any specific questions you have about them.

Thanks, Tac. I wasn't aware there were two but I now completely understand the distinction.  I have a 229 DAK in 40.  No point in putting a SRT in a DAK, is there?

Double... If your gun is a DAK, then , no, the Short Reset Trigger isn't an option for your pistol. The new sear won't work with your hammer. Sorry bro...

Glad I could help.

Thanks, gents.  That's what I figured. Sometimes I wish I had not gone with a DAK but...

On an unrelated note, just ordered a new 1911 Nightmare Carry but am having second thoughts in favor of a 220 Elite Carry with SR trigger. Dumping my Kimber and really like the 1911 design but there is just something about the 220.

Is the Nightmare the one with the bobtail? I think Sig has a different name for it. If so, I have been thinking of one also. Let me know how you like it.

Yes, it has a bobtail.  Their website lists it as Nightmare Carry but I have heard it referred to as the "Fastback."
