| I am about to order a sp2022 next week it will be my first sig. I have been researching them a lot and it seems like the ones with the older style rail run flawless but the ones with the newer rails are having FTF and FTE problems. SIG has been great with their customer service and fixing and replacing them but i would rather not have any problems and send it in the first place. Any new owners have positive or negative experience with the newer models? |

I bought one a month ago and have put at least 500 rounds through it without any problems. I also purchased it as my first Sig and I can tell you now they multiply. I'm already looking for a P226.
My research on the SP2022 did not turn up any problems, most users mentioned the lack of aftermarket items being the biggest issue. |

I picked up a P226 about a year after buying my 2022. It's worth mentioning that the 2022 is close in size to the P229. I have an older 2022, and it now serves as my red headed stepchild pistol. It's been run through the 2,000 round challenge twice now, and I decided to just keep shooting it until it quits. I'll report back when it does! |
