I have a 220 dark elite with the SRT trigger. my question is its my understanding that the srt trigger upgrade is just the trigger itself and to reverse it you would just have to find a normal trigger and pop it in there?
the reason i ask this is because i'm not very happy with how i'm shooting this gun i dry fire practice with it a lot and i think i worked out the flinch. but i'm still not shooting it as well as i like. but if you guys have any suggestions i would gladly listen to them as to what my be my issue. the groups are all over the target so those nifty targets that you suppose to use to figure out you issue probably wont work. |

No, replacing the trigger will only change your trigger reach. The SRT kit is a replacement sear and safety lever. The P220 also has a different decocking lever, but I think it will work with either the SRT or standard trigger parts.
I don't think going to the standard parts will help you personally. The only difference will be the reset distance of the single action trigger pull. What is your exact problem? Are you having trouble with the double action pull? Sight alignment? |

Try some rubber grips. |

would the grips make that much of a difference? i really like the grips on the gun currently It will definitely take some of the shock out of the grip to your hands. I can tell a huge difference with rubber grips shooting my airweight revolvers. You could also get a padded glove as well. If recoil flinch isn't your problem, then neither would help you though. |

my theory was that the thinner trigger wasn't helping because i didn't need the shorter reach. and that was hurting me. but i was shooting well with my 2022 which has the thinner trigger and im shooting that just fine so my theory was BS
i went to the range today with it and put about 50 rounds down range. my dry fire practice is paying off. i started with a DA trigger pull and bam dead center. the next pull was straight low. then a low left. decocked the gun and bam dead center. it seemed that i could keep good groups on with a DA pull. but most shots all were straight low or low left suggestions? |

Sounds like Clay is confused, which is understandable because of how Sig words their stuff...
SRT: Short Reset Trigger. This is a trigger system mod that has a very short reset. Short Trigger: The literal trigger piece is thinner than regular. Sounds like you have the short trigger and want a regular size one. That is just the trigger piece. I am not a Sig armor but I would think that would be all you need to replace. |
