Ok yal, so I just bought a used Sig 226 tacops in 9mm. It came with 4 Sig 20 rd mags and I also got two Mec Gar mags as well.  Now let me first start off by saying that I have been a huge Sig fan for years and have NEVER had any issues of any type in any of my Sigs in the past. Now that being said, I take the tacops to the range today and this is what happend.  The first Mec Gar mag ran flawlessly and the gun shot like a dream. The other 3 Sig mags were a different story. I kid you not, it had a malfuntion of every sort form double feeding, stove piping, you name it did it one after another for the next 40rds until I just stopped. Im a pretty fundamentally sound shooter so I dont believe that it was because of something that I was doing or not doing. Has anyone else had any issues like this with theirs? WTF!

Being that you are a long time Sig shooter, I can't imagine it is your grip or anything.  First thing I do when I acquire any auto, new or used, is take apart and clean the mags.

If you have an internal extractor like two of my 5 Sig, get a pipe cleaner and CLP, and make sure you clean all around the extractor and breachface.  On the bottom of the extractor is  slight bevel, that facilitates the round sliding up and under the extractor from the mag.  I think that is the most neglected cleaning area on most autos, including the 1911.

Other than that, even though I have no problem with my Sig 20 rd and various MecGar mags, I would not rule out you have used and abused mags, and you might be wise to start off with a new recoil spring.  I bought a very used Sig 230 that would malfunction. Ordered a new Wolff spring, and my problems went away.  Unfortunately, unless it is your ammo, you have the process of elimination to isolate your problem.  The 226 is known as one of the most reliable Sigs in their stable.

Thanks for the update. It seems like Im getting the same advice from soveral people as well, so I'll give it a shot and keep yal updated. Ive just never had this issue with any other Sig mags in the past and I have owned several Sigs and know how reliable they are. I guess thats why I was so suprised when I started having issues with this one.
