Noticed something interesting today...when there is no mag inserted, the slide release works wonderfully; however, when a mag is inserted, I have to press down as hard as I f***ing can in order to get it to release.

The pistol is a P220 Carry SAS Gen II.

I've heard that the CS at Sig is top notch, but do I just send the pistol in or should I call?  Never had to have any firearm repaired until now so I was hoping for some help!

Thanks

I am assuming you are trying to drop the slide on an empty mag. If that is the case, don't do that. It is difficult as you are having to overcome the mag spring and isn't great for the gun to drop on an empty chamber.

If you are having issues dropping it on a full mag, that is an issue. Can you see what the stop is contacting to cause the issue?

The problem arises with a loaded mag - I know better than to drop the slide on an empty mag

I plan on calling Sig tomorrow to get info on how to send it in - figured I would check here first before sending it out.

Thanks!
