I have a sig p226 9mm with p proof barrel and contrast sight. I like a tactical look and a adjustable sight. If you have only one choice between a thread barrel from sig($235) and a Meprolight Tru-Dot Tritium Night Sight adjustable set($125), what will you go with?

I'd get a used threaded barrel if you're not in a rush...
and get the above site you want...
good luck!

Few bucks cheaper here!

What are you going to be using this pistol for?  Adjustable sights are fine for target pistols, but I would probably recommend fixed sights, with the front sights illuminated, for a home defense or ccw gun.  Fixed sights are going to be more durable, an important consideration for a self defense weapon.

Do you own, or plan to own, a suppressor?  If so, then you probably want suppressor sized sights anyway.  If not, why spend $200 on a barrel that you'll never thread anything to?  I mean, yeah, it looks cool, but in the same way that lingerie is cool.  Threaded barrels are to suppressed pistols what lingerie is to sex.  Hopefully that's not to cerebral for arfcom on a Sunday.

Look at some warren tactical two dot tritium sights, or the new trijicon HD sights.

Combat / defense gun  - Fixed night sights, no threaded barrel unless you have a suppressor, done.
