Will a P232/230 magazine (with a grip extension on it, like : Sig P232 mag ) fit a P238? Is there a better option from a different manufacturer? |

Quoted: Will a P232/230 magazine (with a grip extension on it, like : Sig P232 mag ) fit a P238? Is there a better option from a different manufacturer? SIG is producing, or will be producing, a 7rd. magazine for the P238. I have seen it on a few websites, but it is always out of stock. When Top Gun Supply gets some, I may order one to try it out. It has what looks like a black plastic bumper on the bottom, but is still rather low-profile.
There is also the 7rd. magazine from the Colt Mustang, which may or may not work in your P238 - http://www.pistolsandparts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=2070 |

Found another reference to the extended magazine: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2010/12/03/sig-extended-length-pinky-magazine-for-the-p238/ |

I can confirm that the Sig extended mag is real. Just got one today when I picked up my P238 at Top Gun Supply. I think they just got some in, and with the construction of their new shop, haven't even put them into inventory or up on the web site yet. I have had it for a couple of hours, and have not had a chance to really play with it much. But it does make the grip more comfortable. Top Gun also just got the two-tone P238 with rosewood grips that comes with both the extended mag and regular mag in the box. Again, they have not even yet put that variant up on the web site. I have found Top Gun to be a great place to deal with. The owner said that the new store should be open by Christmas, and operations should get back to more "normal." |

7 rd mags with extensiond - $39.95
Just picked up a P238 last night from Cabelas in Dundee, MI. With the coupon and my Cabelas points, I got a used unit, with the recall work already done, for $370 + tax. I'd like to get some small parts to keep in reserve. I really haven't found too many other than what Top Gun Supply had, just a few misc things. I'd like to have just every small part in the gun, if possible. Numrichs doesn't have much, if any. MidwayUSA has next to nothing. Brownells is the same. Got a source, other than Sig? |
