Can someone explain why Sig would change the threading on their 9mm bbls? A few months ago, they were offering 1/2X28....now it's a metric thread and left hand?

| European firearms makers seem to have standardized on the metric left hand threads. IIRC HK, Sig, and a few other use this thread pitch. S&W also uses it for their threaded 9mm barrel. It didnt bother me at first, but now that I have a 92A1 and a G19, I've got to special order left hand barrels to use with my same LID on my Gemtech M.M. |

Which is eactly why I don't understand the change. Sig is made in Exeter NH which last I checked was forty min from my house and not in a foreign country. |

So you special order a $250 barrel instead of ordering a $75 part from Gemtech? You know the piston shafts swap right?
