| I have a 229 in 40 and the rear NS is so loose that it fell out once. Is there anything I can do or do I have to take it some were to get fixed? Any opinions. |

Depending on if the gun is new, with nightsights installed at the factory, it (the slide) would go back, after a friendly phone call. Forget glue or loc-tite, it sounds like the dovetail is oversize or the sight is undersize. Another remedy would be to drill & tap the sight for a setscrew as another new sight may be loose too. That's disconcerting on such an otherwise very fine weapon, for sure.
