Or do the full size and compact pistols seems to have an upward bend towards the front end of the pistol along the last half inch?

My 3rd gen g17 has it. My g26 does not. Doesn't affect functionality in the slightest (Haven't fitted a weapon light yet though, but I will) but it just seems to be a little quirk. Doesn't bother me in the slightest, but I'm a genuinely curious glock-ophile.

It's pretty common in a lot of Glocks. It's been referred to as "pig-nose."

Normal. Think how crappy it would look with that gap in the front.

Yeah, then it would look like this:

They call that "frame droop" and it happens as the polymer cools after it comes out of the mold.

I'm glad Glock's frame droop goes in the other direction.

(That's my M&P for sale in the EE if anyone's interested.  )

An inappropriate off topic joke from Hero? Almost unbelievable.

EDIT- To keep it on topic, both my Glocks have the other direction bend.

Mine are all straight, or bend up.  None bend down.

My new 19 RTF2 bends up.  I'll have to check my 22 when I go back to work.

I apologize profusely! It was just too good to pass up. I don't know what came over me. Back to your regularly scheduled Glock discussion...
