| I have a new to me glock 36, i've put 300 through it no problems. I cant get it to forward the slide after a mag change with the the lever on the side. My 19 and 26 can do this but not this one. The gun is not new but looks to be low rounds, if I remember correctly the 19 didnt release the slide for a bit, do I just need more rounds to free it up? |

I "slingshot" the slide as described above.
I think the stiff slide release/stop is common to the G36. I had one that was nearly impossible to get the slide to release with the "slide release." No problem with any other model but the 36. But, like I said, I slingshot anyway so it didn't matter to me. |

I agree with the method described above, grabbing the slide, "overhand" method, if you will, to recharge the weapon. This is, of course, a hotly debated topic. I wasn't aware, per se, that the G36 had this problem..........my Glocks (9mm and .40) have never had the problem...........if the problem does exist, I'm thinking alot of use will "wear the parts in", or some careful filing, stoning, and smoothing in the right places will alleviate the problem. |
