I'm looking at venturing into the glock arena. I found a gen 3 g19 with 2 mags and factory sites. Approx 500 round count.  I know the guy sellin it. I asked him how much and he said just make a reasonable offer. I don't want to seem like I'm low balling him.  What is a fair price for this thing?  I know new ones sell for 520 + tax locally. I was thinking 450.  Thanks.

I wouldn't go higher than 450.  I see them used in gun stores as you describe for between 400 and 450.

I'd go by the condition cosmetically (carry wear, whatever), then make an offer.

FWIW, I'd start at 425 regardless.

Wow. Way way over priced.

I am going to Lonewolf in Glendale, AZ tomorrow to pickup my GLOCK 19. They sell them for $449+ tax everyday of the week.

I would offer 400 for it personally, but would be willing to go up to 425. I can get a brand new one for not much more than that through gssf

The Gen3 could be history if the Gen4 19 launch proves to be successful. Of course if the Gen4 is unreliable then the Gen3 could be worth a little more.

From what I've heard, back when someone went to tour the Glock factory in Austria, Glock says they have no intentions of discontinuing the gen 3 right now.

The Gen 4 is simply a supplement, as they felt the demand was there.

But, this is just what I've heard.

Straight cost through Jerry's Sport center is $440 plus about $35 shipping.

I think $450 if it looks new/as new would be a fair deal for both of you.

I would buy it for $450 and feel pretty good about it.

that is not a steal, but is a good price . If I were in the market for a glock 19, and that is an out the door price, i wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

At the last Dallas Market Hall gun show there were four dealers selling NIB Glocks for under $450. I gave $440 for my G26 @ SAW.

Those same four make most of the large Houston & Dallas shows.
