I've got a new Glock 17 in 9mm.  I have a ton of .40 cal ammo from a previous model 22.  Will a model 22 slide fit to the 17 receiver with no work?  I'd like to have 2 guns in 1 so to speak and thought about this possibility.  Let me know if you have ever seen this done and the results as well.  Thanks in advance!

Yep, and besides a stock G22 slide, you can get any of Lone Wolf's G22, G35, or G24 length slide and barrels too.  All you'd need besides a new upper is G22 magazines.

ETA:  By the way, here is what a G22 with a Lone Wolf G24 slide length looks like (note: this is a custom slide without the cutout).

Maybe...  the new Gen4 Glocks (with the removable grip panels) are not backwards-compatible.

Yes OP, and COSteve is spot on there.

The .40 Ejector is different also from the 9mm, so if I did this switch, I'd also switch the Trigger Housing for one with a .40 Ejector in it, just to be sure.  But it's very possible it'd run just fine with the 9mm Ejector too.
