Greetings,

I was looking over a clean used Glock 34 and it had a very light trigger reset on it- as in, it was slower than it should have been.

I put 3.5lb connectors in my Glocks, but I usually leave the striker and trigger springs stock.

The trigger pull on the G34 in question was lighter than a stock Glock 3.5lb connector with factory springs.  Is a slow reset something that can be remedied by changing out the trigger spring?

Thanks,
Cheese

A higher weight trigger spring won't help reset because it helps to pull the trigger back, not forwards, however, a broken trigger spring can give that symptom.  If not that then I'm thinking maybe something's gummed up or bent.  Take it apart and look for a broken spring or crud in the receiver.  In the worst case you'll only replace the Trigger Mechanism Housing ($7.50), Connector ($15.00), Trigger Spring ($3.00), and Trigger Bar ($15.00) so you won't be out alot even in the worst case.

Thanks Costeve,

I expected it would be simple to swap out some springs.

One of the things I like about the Glock is in the worst case scenario I can perform a full organ transplant of all the fire control parts inexpensively and quickly.

Thanks,

You can try a heavier than stock trigger spring.  I have some in guns I got from Glockworx (zevtech)
