Extended Controls

Cheap and fairly easy upgrade. I've used glocks with extended magazine releases and they're nice but I don't really have a problem hitting it on my G17. If anything I'd go for an extended slide release. When your slide locks back in a stressful shooting situation, it can be surprisingly hard to find that slide release. Granted, the most stressful shoot I've been in just involved an instructor screaming 3 inches away from my ear He really didn't like it when I sling shott'd the slide on a reload.

thanks for the link,
oh well I sling shot the slide too
the mag release issue is annoying and the situation get even worse when I'm wearing gloves

I am running a Vickers mag release now and although it does help I still have to shift my grip to engage it.  That said I wouldn't go any bigger for a carry gun.

That need to slightly shift your grip will keep you from accidentally dumping your mag on the deck under stress and for the vast majority of people they are not going to be slowed down on a reload in realistic conditions.

I installed an OEM extended release after I filed it down just enough to remove the serrations. I love it. It is smooth and a tad longer, just enough where I don't have to shift my grip.

Is there any issue with either mag or slide when CCwing? Say in a CB ST?
I have wanted to do both but worry about how my 26 will draw with both added.
