I need to get a Glock 22's frame resurfaced  that is 10 years old  and has been carried in a duty holster the whole time.  The entire frame is very slick and hard to keep ahold of.  It's looks like I polished it with a car buffer.  It is very reliable so selling it I think isn't necessary.  What should I do?  Is it worth sending it to Robar, or have Glock change out the frame?  Any idea how much Glock charges to do that?  Thanks.

Grip tape may do the trick or a good heat stipple job(Bore-sight solutions?).

I would send it to Glock for an upgrade. It won't be the same serial # on the frame, but you could have all the internals checked and upgraded as well as the latest and greatest frame. I don't think the cost is outrageous either.

i had the same type pf problem with my G33 frame being to hard to keep a good grip on while shooting without having to keep adjusting my hold on the gun. so i bought a can of 3m rubberized undercoating and taped off where i didn't want it and sprayed my frame. after it's dry it has a nice texture but will eventually smooth out. but it still keeps a good rubbery grip to hold onto.

it will strip off with BF clp or some aerosol spray cleaner a toothbrush and some elbow grease if you don't like it.

I already tried that with little sucess. It gets so hot out here in Vegas, the glue ran all over the place and fell right off  the first summer I carried it.  Thank you for that suggestion.

from what i hear, the most it will cost you is 50$. and if you catch them on a good day 0$. they do give it a new SN. i also hear that they are out of gen2 frames. so if yours is 2gen, you will get a 3rd gen frame. remember this is what i have heard, YMMV.

Send it to someone for a professional stipple job. Look in the pic thread and there are several nice ones. And they usually say what company did it.
