Ok... so I took my new 21 SF to the range today. Got a couple vids to share.
First one labeled "Bad Screw Up" was just that... a bad screw up. I was using an iPhone with the surefire shot timer on it. When I would set the timer to random I was placing it in my front shirt pocket. Obviously this did not go well for me as you will see. I did flip the bird at the camera man so consider yourself warned. (I know that it may not look like I was taking this very seriously but it really did bother me cause I did it twice. NOT the way I like to practice.) I really want to let everybody know that this kind of stuff does happen even if it hasn't happened to you... I would also like to point out that the extremely annoying laugh at the end of the vid is not me. That was my life long friend Jeff. TRAIN LIKE YOU WANT TO FIGHT CAUSE YOU WILL NOT RISE TO THE OCCASION!!!! http://s887.photobucket.com/albums/ac72/blake_gibson/?action=view¤t=Screwup1.flv Next was approximately 30 minutes later after some serious dry fire practice. This reload went pretty well for me. http://s887.photobucket.com/albums/ac72/blake_gibson/?action=view¤t=Goodreload.flv Third and last was the pseudo el pres that I did. I know it was meant to be run from concealment but I was practicing with my thigh rig and TLR2 I just got for work. http://s887.photobucket.com/albums/ac72/blake_gibson/?action=view¤t=Decentelpres.flv Please be gentle!!! But seriously if you have any tips and not just smart @$$ remarks let me know! (EDIT: to point out, between the first two vids and the third I did raise the holster about three inches... was brought up on another forum) |

Howdy,
Just a few things I see is one, train as you fight. In a CCW and I say most part you wont ever use a drop down holster even in Law enforcement its rare. I would suggest using a holster you will either use as a duty officer or in a civilian conceal or open carry environment. Its all about muscle memory, about 5k reps to get it down in your head, keep training. God Bless and Always stay vigilant, Keen |
