I have had a G27 for two years. I love it, have had zero problems. The grip is a little small, slightly improved with a +1 extension on the standard magazine. One excellent feature is that it accepts regular high capacity magazines (the ones that go with G22 and 23). I shoot accurately with it and would trust my life to it. |
| Very good guns. I don't like .40s in any flavor but thats just me. Use what you like and can shoot well. My wife has a G26 (same size pistol its just 9mm instead). The G33 is also the same size but in .357 SIG. That size is really small and good for concealment but doesn't fit my hand well. I have a G21 and G30 that are carried regularly. |
As long as you put the base plates back in your mag extensions should not come off. Since my G27 is my carry i've beat that gun , dropped it, bumped it , banged it ,etc.. never have i had an extension come off or shift the least. You're gonna scare the kid and make him think is mag will explode raining ammo everywhere.. ![]() J |

There are many different genarations of the +1's. First gen glocks could pop off. Second gen glocks have the retaning clip and should not. That being said the +1 wear much faster then the standard basepads and should be repalced when needed. I trust my life to second gen glock +1's With after market +1's you take your chances. NoKarma |

I've had one for a few years now that I carry religiously in the summer. Very easy for a fat boy like me to conceal. The =1's are a must, they make mag changes much easier. I won't be able to make the June 27 WA shoot as my wife is pregnant with twins and will be delivering early in July. If we have another shoot towards the end of summer or early fall and you haven't bought a 27 yet let me know and I will bring my 27 up to let you put many, many rounds through it. |

made the transition from 9mm to .40 a few years ago. swapped my 26 for a 27 and my double taps left the building. i could tear the middle out of a target at 7 yds with my g26 in like 3 seconds. i have to reset my grip for my 2nd double tap with my g27. UNLESS YOU'RE RESTRICTED TO POCKET CARRY GET A G23!!! i cannot overemphasize how MUCH of a difference the addtional size makes in accuracy and controllability. i cannot overemphasize how LITTLE difference the size makes in holstered carry. the only time my g27 leaves the house as my primary is when i gotta tuck in my shirt, otherwise my g23 is always with me. my .02 oh, and don't even consider the baby .357 sig. that thing is like setting off a tactical nuke... |

My first handgun was a G27, in fact it was my first gun, period. I love it, it is my primary defensive handgun. Size is great. I believe if you could only have one handgun, the G27 should be it. Zero malfunctions of any kind. I prefer the +1 mag extensions, but even with those, it is still smaller and lighter than the G23. My mag extensions have never come off and shouldn't as long as you have them installed correctly. I prefer the Pearce to Scherer. Recoil doesn't bother me at all. It is a damn accurate gun. Who said .40's aren't accurate? |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quoted: oh, and don't even consider the baby .357 sig. that thing is like setting off a tactical nuke... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've shot the G33 many times and find it be fine. With a nice trigger job the gun isn't bad at all. The recoil isn't bad due to the beefier recoil spring glock uses on the G33. I wouldn't mind carrying it at all. J |
The G27 was my first gun aswell. It is the only one I carry. I have also a Sig 229 and a HK USP Compact .45. It is as accurate as my other two, and I've NEVER had a prblem in the ~1k rounds sent through it.... |

My G27 sees late spring, summer and early fall duty. 24x7. All four of my mags have Scherer +1 extensions, and I've never had a problem with them (I keep one mag in the pistol, with a round in the pipe, and I keep two more mags on the left hip in another OWB Fobus. Right hip has the G27 in an OWB Fobus). It's a great concealed carry sub-compact Glock. |
