All I can say is I have had one since they first became available and it has always shot strait and gone bang every time I pulled the trigger.

Sometimes I think about buying a Gen III G19 to replace my Gen I but the Gen I has never failed me so I just can’t see replacing it.

What problem? I know about the rails being out of spec in some and some weird problem the NYPD claimed to have but don't know the specifics, what are you talking about?

Ok just found out that it is the followers in the mags series (2183's).
The problems seems to be that ,when using  hollow points the last round takes a nose dive
If you call glock they will send you dif  followers for free ...

My Klinton mags with 2183 followers have problem feeding last round with Speer Gold Dot 124gr +Ps. (both of them)

I have a standard cap mag with 9mm1 follower and it is absolutely flawless with any ammo. (I'm talking about G19 3rd gen btw)

I don't doubt you or anything, I have seen these threads on GT myself.

But I do think something is wrong with some of 2183 followers.

I own a 3rd gen G19 and I shot a couple thousand rounds of various HPs and I haven't had a problem.  However, if you call Glock they will send you either 9mm1 or 9mm3 followers to replace the 2183s.

I've heard they are backordered. Anyone know who sells them 1 or 3 followers?

hold on a sec.  I thought the 9mm-1&9mm-3 were for the double stacked preban mags?

as for your question M4-AK, I bought some from Lone wolf thinking I'd get the 9mm4 followers, but ended up with the 9mm-3.  How many are you looking for?

sure, drop me an email with your address.  Like I said, I have a bunch of #3s that I thought would be #4's, so I have no use for them.  I'll swap with you.

I got some from Glock only they are 9mm1. This seems to cure the last round problem at least when feeding manually last round. I haven't been back to the range to actually fire it.  Thanks for your offer however.

Anytime.  It's all in that box of "extra parts" that I'm sure everyone has.  If anyone has any need, drop me an email.

Where are you guys finding this 2183 number? I have a problematic preban 15 rd Glock mag (Gen 2 I believe), and this makes me wonder. The top of the follower is marked 9mm-1, and the little plate that goes on the bottom of the spring (inside the mag) is marked 1683, I believe.

The mag chokes on both Gold Dots 13-14th rd, every time, and also on Winchester Ranger RA9TAs, usually 11th rd. The gun goes into fail to feed and the round is pushed partially forward, like it tried to feed, but didn't make it. It's 100% reliable with ball ammo.

Could this be a related problem? I hate to have a $75 preban range mag, ya know?

The "2183" is stamped on the follower just like the 9mm-1 is.  The difference is that the "2183" follower is in the 10 round post ban compliant single stacked 10 round mag.

Do you have other preban mags?  What are the stampings on those follwers?
