Guys, I know the KCI glock mags are generally regarded as good to go, but what about the ATI (American Tactical
Imports) Glock mags? Or are they the same thing, with different brand names? I got an email this morning from a large dealer, advertising ATI Glock 17 mags for $9.95. Almost sounds too good to be true! What's the scoop? |
| To be honest I only run the Glock mags because no other brand of mag runs as good as the Glock OEM. Plus you can get Glock mags from Botach for 19.99 they are worth the extra bones. Plus if you are planning on carrying the Glock mags are the only ones I would put my life on. |

Name the dealer and I am sure someone here will order some and report back. Since ATI is an importer, my guess/assumption/whatever would be that they are perhaps the korean mags. The dealer is The Gun Source. I wouldn't even bother asking, were it not for the fact that ATI has a pretty good reputation. I doubt they would sell these mags if they were junk. |
| Picked up a couple from CDNN for a Glock 22. They were very tight compared to the OEM mags, almost too tight and had to be filed down in some areas to make them easier to use. Also, there was a LOT more spring tension than the standard mags as well. For the money they are decent range mags, but not much more than that. |

I don't use up enough Glock mags to make me want to buy anything other than OEM. I have yet to have one of mine fail. Only wear and one getting the feed lips crushed has made mine fail. The one that wore out was spring had just finally worn out and would not feed anymore. It probably had 20-30K rounds through it maybe a lot more not sure I probably put 15K on it myself.(it was given to me used and I used the hell out of it some more) |
