| Seen this in the picture thread. Did a lot of searching but had no luck finding anyone who carries this. I don't need it, but it looks cool. |

They had their 15 min of fame, then were discontinued.
Some people pointed out that you could get something jammed between the standoff and the slide causing a jam. Suarez points out you can strike with the muzzle of the glock with no issues. I have personally tested this on various surfaces and believe it would work fine on a human. |

interesting. i've never see one of those. i could see how something could possibly get jammed between that and the slide causing a malfunction. |

I thought the reason for these was to prevent your slide from being pushed back if your gun was pressed up agaisnt something. it is, but i'd much rather have a light than that thing I think I would rather have a light too. But it does look like bad ass. If anyone knows where to get one or wants to sell theirs IM me. I'll get both |

The Airsofters bought more CQB standoffs then anyone else. Its a gimmick, it is not practical. They have been discontinued and are general unavailable. I'd say only suckers buy one, but ironically the thing is I am actually working a deal with an airsofter to buy one right now. It has come down to an argument over who pays shipping. |

One should train to NEVER let their weapon get close enough to a subject to make contact IMHO....Some weapons are designed to prevent firing when pressed up against the body, such as the Sig 2340/2022/2009. Anything that could be used to prevent the weapon from being pushed out of battery, could also prevent the owner from intentionally pushing it out of battery during a struggle (could). |

Yeah, but shit happens and fights can go to the ground. I know a deputy in central Ca that had such happen and luckily he didn't need a second shot from his 4506. He was on the ground with the perp and pressed his pistol to the guy's side and killed him. |
