Anyone have any experience with Scherer magazines?  I'm looking for 29-round .40 S&W and I ran across some of them.  Any help is appreciated.

They're decent.  I wouldn't trust my life to one right out of the box, but you can definitely run 'em once they're broken it.  I've heard the Wolff 33rnd 9mm springs (for the G18 mags) work well, but I don't have first-hand knowledge of that so YMMV.

FWIW, a Glock rep/salesman told me they have no quibble with Scherer due to the high quality of their mags.
Mine work fine in 9MM. As a matter of fact 100%

the 9mm always cracked on the front wall towards the top.  theyre a bitch to load.  a factory 33 rounder loads with no trouble all day.  once youve hit about the 23rd round or so, the mag will split if you try to load anymore.  this has happened on 5 out of the 6 that ive owned.

i stopped buying them.  theyre replacement mag bodies leave something to be desired too.

They wear in after about 100 rounds. After that mine was 100% reliable although it's very, very difficult to get round #31 in. So I don't bother, I just load 30. If there was a factory available for the the .40 I would buy it, but since there isn't I would suggest scherer. It's worth the money
