i just picked up a 2nd gen G19 for my g/f for christmas, it has the non captive guide rod and i was wondering if the captive guide rod from the newer 3rd gen g19 will work, only reason i wanna replace it is so it will be easier for her to field strip/clean

| ok sweet, the link posted is a factory glock assy. although i haven't had any problems with my G19 or G20 that have SS guide rods, she doesn't plan on CCWing it, it's gonna be a shooter for now, mabye after a a defensive pistol course and a few thousand rounds she'll change her mind, she's new new to shooting, i think having her own pistol will get her full bore into the sport, as she already loves to shoot as it is |
