Has anyone seen the ad for glock custom engraving in mags like Combat Handguns? If you have please tell me where it states that is an option for L.E.O's only. I made a call to Glock this afternoon and spoke with a woman named Donna who told me that their new engraving is really only offered to police departments. If you have seen this ad if shows a G19 with gold leaf inlay. What department in their right mind would issue a gold leafed glock? on top of that you would have to purchase a brand new Glock for them to even do it. Not that i was interested in a "bling blinging" glock but i thought CCW 24/7 would be nice on my back up G27. So i guess i'll have to send to someone else like aero-tek. i told her she may want to rethink the misleading ad. ok i'm done bitching. I guess i'm just a little hurt <sniff sniff> by glock , i mean hell i own 8 of them but, that's not good enough. I just don't feel any reciprocity from the ones i love.

The ad does say "Offered are simple text engravings and/or the emblem of your department at very reasonable prices." Nowhere in the ad does it state that this offer is for police only or only targeted towards police departments. I would think the private sector would want their Glock engraved more than a police officer. I can see some departments getting logos engraved or simple text, but nothing like they show in the add. |

To my knowledge, there have only been two of the Hand Engraved, Gold Guilded Glocks made. The First was a 19, with Full on Gold Gulding, As seen in the Magazine Adds, It was recently up for Auction, $7000.00 Reserve, No Takers. The Second is a model 17, Same engraving, but half gold, half silver. Auction price of $5000.00. No Takers...
