Did Glock ever make a G-17 with standard rifling?  I recently purchase a G-17 Gen III ERR series with a pentagon proof that appears to have standard lands and grooves rifling.

Glocks do not have lands and grooves in the barrel.  It is a polygonal rifling.

Glock did produce what's called an EBIS barrel or a 'Miami Barrel'.  It had a sort of lands and grooves arrangement which aided in the identification of individual barrels.  I know a poster here on the forums recently discovered his Glock had been shipped to him with the Miami Barrel setup, perhaps that's what you're seeing...

There was a thread a few weeks ago about a special run of Glock barrels with standard rifling.  It seems you may have gotten one of these.  I'll see if I can find a link.

ETA - Beaten by the poster above.

It's hard to find much information on the Glock EBIS but I did find this article:

You might want to contact Glock Customer Service at 770-432-1202 and see if they can provide you with additional information on the barrel...

Good idea.  I think it might be on the recall list as well for the frame.
