| ok, so i can say that i am the new proud owner of my first glock. not my first time shhoting them, ive had a lot of experience with them, but never owned one (until now). all of my other pistols are 1911's, and i thought i'd switch things up a bit. so i was wondering from the community what some good upgrades would be for me. i know that they are great peices of equipment right out of the box, but i'm looking for a little more. im definately a function over looks type of guy, so i was thinking about making the trigger a little lighter and more crisp, some night sights, and definately extended slide release. any thoughts? thanks |

First thing I'd get are a bunch of extra mags and ammo to shoot/practice/train with. Then I'd add steel night sights. The rest is optional.
I've switched to 3.5 connectors before but always end up switching back to the factory 5.5 connector. I like the feel of it the best. I don't use the slide stop to release the slide so I leave that stock. I've never had a problem ejecting mags, so I leave the mag release stock. The G19 is just about as perfect as a defensive, concealable handgun gets. Congrats! |
| I too just yesterday brought home a NIB G19. I've already ordered an extended slide catch lever and 9 extra 17 and 15 round mags. I also ordered a new 3.5# connector and heavier trigger spring. I plan on trying different set ups to find what works best for me. I'm not new to Glocks as I have used them now for 9 years thru my department. While not my favorites, I really fell in love with the G19 after picking one up. |
