They use the stock Glock parts in them including the stock guiderod / spring combo.  In addition, they can use any after market ss rod and spring combo too.  My custom Glock at the left predates LW's new slides by a few years so I don't have any experience with them.

Dunno about the 21L but I just got a 20L.  Looks good, fits really tight though, wouldn't feed .40 through the conversion barrel.  I sent the whole upper back to lonewolf for some minor fitting, they seemed very eager to take on the work.  Keep in mind something like this is going to be a "custom part" made to shoot tighter than a stock glock, therefore it might need some minor fitting.  We'll see how it runs when I get it back.

I've got a G21SF with the 6" Lone Wolf slide and barrel, as well as a KKM 10mm conversion barrel for it.

I put a few rounds in it with the stock guide rod and spring but thought it needed to be a little heavier (I had to help the slide close once or twice).

I have the Lone Wolf guide rod with (I think) a 24lb spring.    I have only put about 20 rounds through it (both .45ACP and 10mm)  since putting that spring in, but it locked back into battery 100%, although I don't think that small of a sample is a good indicator of reliability.     I don't mind having that heavy of a spring in because I plan on shooting a lot of Double Tap through it, which I highly suggest if you like a potent round.      I would have put more through it if I could find any 10mm in stock!

The guide rod spring worries me.... I think a stock one is not enough... How did you come up with the 24lb one???

Because I already had it in a box of parts I bought from somebody.

I wouldn't have went that heavy if I wasn't planning on using the full power 10mm.    I've seen 20 and 22 being suggested, but the .45ACP seemed to cycle just fine with the 24lb spring, so I'll plan on keeping it.

A 22# spring on a stainless steel guide rod is all you'll need, trust me.

I'd go with his advice...  he's got a lot more rounds down the pipe.

Is the 21L the same length as a 17L?

The 17L barrel is a touch over 6 inches.     Glock doesn't make a 21L, so there really is no standard definition of what length barrel it has.    Mine is 6", I think COSteve's is close to that, too.

Well I finnally got all the parts together and the slide back from refinishing. I put 300 rounds of Winchester White  box ball thru the gun. I'm using a LW 6'inch barrel and I had a few FTF- where the bullet would get hung up coming out of the magazine and stuck on the feed ramp.  Thus happened almost once every magazine. Now when I compared the LW barrel to the stock 21SF barrel- I noticed that the ramp on the LW was alot steeper. ....... Should I dremel the ramp down a little??????

The Glock 21 LS is one the wish list. How heavy is it? could it weight more then my S&W 4506?

My steel 6" slide on my G20/21L weighs 4¾ oz more than a stock G20 slide, however, I don't have the cutout in the front either.  The added weight gives it a more balanced feel to me and really helps lower both the felt recoil and muzzle climb when shooting hot 10mm loads.  When shooting a std 230grn 45acp rd, the recoil is very mild.
Comparing weight vs a S&W 4506, my G20L's empty weight is considerably lower.  S&W doesn't list the model 4506 anymore and their manual for it doesn't list the weight.  However, I did find a Wikipedia listing for it and they indicate it weighs 2.6lbs (41.6oz) empty.  My G20L w/o the magwell (configuration I use when I carry it in the field) weighs 33.2oz empty, 39.2oz with the magwell, and only 53.0oz fully loaded with 17+1 rds of 180grn 10mm.

Those weights are higher than the LW 6" slide as mine has no cutout.  Further, removing my magwell and loading a std 13rd mag of 230grn acp, my G21L weighs 33.2+11.9=45.1oz.  My estimated weight for the 4506 loaded with 8rds is 41.6+9.0=50.6oz, or my G21L weighs 5oz less even with 5 more rounds on board.
