I just sold my old Sig 226,(sorry to see the ole girl go) and purchased a G19. Got a killer price and I love it. I have put a box of ammo through the gun and have had no problems. I am waiting for the finger tip extensions, extra mags and holster to get here. Now I have a match for my G21. JUst sending a word out. I know from reading Halflife's G19 stovepiping issues thread,,I was having second thoughts. But I knew it was the "One" when I held it and ran it through the functions. SWEET

| The G19 is a great pistol. I used to carry all sorts of different sidearms until I bought my first Glock. Now, if needed, I won't be fumbling around with different safeties, etc... They all work the same, so I can choose the size and caliber to fit my needs with no worries. |

I used to, also, be a Sig Snob. Then I saw our issued G17's do things that amazed me. All I own is Glocks. This is not to say I haven't tried the others, I just keep coming back to the G19. I sold my P226, which I really liked, and got a Glock 19 too. Spare mags are plentiful and inexpensive which influenced my decision to go with the 19, on top of the fact that there is partial interchangeability with my Glock 26. I had a 17 nearly a decade ago that I parted with and always regretted doing so, but figured the 19 was a little more versatile (small enough to conceal fairly easily). One of these days I've got to pick up a 29SF as a woods gun. |

Having the G21 is great, and I had my 226 forever, (I actually switched from S&W 5906 to the 226 @ 1989). I have some big hands and don't like the feel of a small firearm. I had been shooting a friend's G23 and the more I did, I started to like the feel of the frame. I personally do not like the 40, although any caliber can put you under if shot right. My personal preferences are .357, 9mm and .45. I explored getting the G19. Only one person I knew had one. He has spent more money on the modifications than the value of the pistol. And his 19 doesn't even feel like mine. He had some custom grip work and some other work done. Every pistol I have ever had has been a full size. This include revolver and semi's. This is my first compact and Ilike it alot.
I also picked up a KCI mag and it is almost exactly like the Glock mags. The mag sping is coated and it gets a little difficult to put in those last two rounds. (more difficult than the Glock) It functions and feeds well and I see no problems right now. [ sniper2]
