No need to put in an extended one. Either man up, or use the slingshot method.
BTW, you should not be releasing the slide on an empty chamber on any handgun, even a Glock. With no cartridge to slow the slide down, it can cause peening of the locking surfaces due to excess slide velocity. The Glock 30 will be a tough pistol to learn to shot well. Lots of muzzle flip, small grip, short sight radius. I recommend a .22 pistol or a Advantage Arms conversion before you waste a lot of .45ACP ammo. |
| This was the first pistol I purcahsed, I would agree a 22 kit would be cheaper, but mine is accurate even out to 25 yards. Dead on at 7-10 yards. I would highly reccommend a Pierce Mag grip. It does not add any extra rounds but the factory set up would pinch my pinky, the add on closes the gap between Grip and Mag. Overall great buy. |

Please don't use the slide stop. It is not a release. Use gross motor skills. Reach up grab the slide sling shot style , or thumb to the rear, and pull back to release the slide on a fresh mag. Never ride the slide home. Do not be gentle about it. Pulling the slide to the rear and let it slam home on fresh ammo. It ensures proper feeding.
I also use theG30 for concealed carry |
