I have the chance to pick up a nice looking 3rd gen 19 for 350. it seems it was carried often, but not shot nearly so much. The gun seems to have been well maintained, but i do not know what to look for on the glocks. Nothing seemed to make too much noise. I saw no cracks or dings on the slide or the rails. Is there a chronic problem that plagues the used glock or should i just snap it up and call it good? Also, that price seemed legit to me, but what the hell do i know about Glocks... it is just the gun and one leo marked mag.

That's a great price for any used glock. I'd probably by any glock that was offered at that price regardless of whether I already owned the model. Especially since it's the most popular model of Glock, the 19, you should jump on it. If it shoots, then there's nothing wrong with it. |

I would encourage the OP to follow this advice, or tell me where the gun is at so I can get it.. |

Everything other than the barrel, slide, and frame can be replaced for next to nothing. And the parts are readilly available so there is no headaches getting parts or having to send it off to Glock.
Glocks are the only pistols I'm truely confortable buying used. Get it. There is a used 19 near me for 425. Holster wear only. Its at the shop in front of the range, every range trip I say to the guy behind the counter:"Hey u still have that used 19 collecting dust, I've got $300!" He hasn't caved in three months, but I've allready got a 23, so I can wait. Maybe one day I'll get lucky, it can't sit on the shelfs forever. |
