Just trying to get opininons,Im looking at either model both used but not abused.
Which on e do you all think is more concelable.
Which do you feel is more controllable.
Which has more holsters available to it.
Are there any other high cap mags available for the G26 such as a G17 mag.
Thanks

I own a G36 and I find it to be easy to conceal.  As far as hi-cap mags there are none, but you could look in to buying the +1 mag plate extenders.  They increase the capacity to 7+1 in chamber.  Holsters are not a problem either, Galco makes awesome holsters for It and I believe Blackhawk also makes the serpa holster for either the G36-G26.  The only drawback that I am finding with the G36 is not anything to do with the mechanics of the G-36 it is the ammo.  I hope this has helped you somewhat.

26 for me

the 36 seems like a franken gun, plus, I can hit what I'm aiming at and don't need the extra thousandth or two of diameter when a good 9mm hollow point will work.

The 36 is about the size of a 19/23. The 26/27 is a decent amount smaller and the shorter grip makes it a good deal more concealable.

The 36 is kind of the odd man in the glock line-up. You can't use any other mags for it except the 36 mags. A glock 26 will take it's own mag and also a mag from a 17, 19, and a 33 rnd glock 18 mag. All other compact glocks are this way except the 36.

Holster availability is generally better for the 26/27, but you can find just about anything if you look hard enough.

I can't speak for a 36, never shot one,  but I used to own a 26 and currently own a 27. The are both very controllable and amazingly accurate little guns. I shoot them at least equally with full size pistols and sometimes better.

I have both and they are great guns and shoot well.  The drawback of the 36 for most people is the round count.  Most people like the higher round count of the 26 but I usually carry the 36.  If 7 rounds and a reload don't do the job for me more probably won't help.  We watch too many television shows and get the idea that we need to pack enough rounds to hold off the Taliban.  If my clothing does not allow me to carry an extra mag I'll pack the 26.  I put a Pearce extender on the 26 to give me a more comfortable grip, otherwise, the 26 felt weird to me.  It's just as easy to conceal and gives me peace of mind in my ability to handle the gun under adverse conditions.

I would shoot both and see what feels best for you.  Hell, if they are price right, get both.

I myself skipped on the G36 because of the mag cap and went with a G27 and got a G33 barrel for it.  The G36 is awkward to hold I think.  Plus with the extra mag cap I can take out more zombies and hippies.

I like the 26.  I had a 36, but didn't care to much for it.  You can get factory 12 round mags for the 26.  They come with factory installed +2 Glock base plates.  They are a bit more expensive, but mine have been 100%.  Plenty of holster choices for the 26 also.  Either gun you chosse will conceal easily, but I just prefer the 9mm over the 45.  Every one is different, and I would shoot both before you buy if you can.

I've got both. As said, in terms of length and height, the 36 is larger than the 26––approximately the same size as the 19. It is thinner though, and given its low capacity, it also is pretty light weight. Thus, the 36 is nice to carry. I don't find it particularly difficult to shoot, but it definitely has more recoil than the 26. And 6+1 isn't much, just saying.

The 26 is a piece of cake to shoot, can share holsters with the 19 and the 17 and the 34 if you get the right kind. It will take the mags for the 19 and the 17 and the 18 if you want. Most of the replacement parts for Glocks work in the 26, not always the case (depending on the part) with the 36.

All in all, I'd say go for the 26. It's a better defensive package overall IMO.

G26 with a pearce pinky extension.

Spare 17 round mag.

With one reload, you're looking at 28 rounds.

More rounds, easier to control, and IMHO easier to conceal.

I would pick the G26 first, and get the 36 down the line.

Of those 2 I'd prefer the G26.

And it'll take 33 rnd mags also.

If you don't have a glock 9mm get the 26 first.

Or do the correct thing and get a 19 first.

Then you can branch out to try some of the other models and calibers besides the 9mm line.

I own a 19 and a 36, carry both, but mainly the 36 now.
