The HERA Glock Conversion will be available within the next couple of weeks. A conversion with a 16" barrel will also become available. There seems to be a lack of information regarding the conversion. As I understand it (Or so I've read elsewhere, though I don't know how accurate the info is) the rear sight is removed, and a block installed to accept the HERA charging handle. It appears as if the Glock frame is pinned to the new stock, which would be kinda difficult to repair, or remove the slide in the field in an event of a malfunction. Anyone out there with assembly details? The prices for these without the 16" barrel is $500.00. I'm unaware if the 16" barreled model will have a longer handguard.

I have emailed the US Distributor earlier today in hopes of a detailed reply answering some questions on the assembly of the conversion. Should I receive a responce, I'll post it here. I did hear from them today, and was told the 16" barreled model will be out fairly soon, but that the standard model will be shipping within a week or two. Three different colors are available. Black, green, and tan. |

Would definitley be SBR without a 16 inch barrel.
Sure doesn't seem worth it for the money.......................kind of useless really. To me, it looks like Gaston Glock had drunk unprotected sex with R2-D2, and that popped outta R2's ass 9 months later................................ Although I do like that clip that holds the 2 33 rnd mags together. |

Received the following reply in regards to assembly/disassembly
Basically you just need a screw driver to un-tighten a screw and the pistol comes out of the stock. The rear sight is removed and a Hera one put in its place. Hera told me it was easy to do and very quick. The stock is not pinned…it uses a screw.
If there is a problem, you unscrew the screw, pull the pin and out pops the pistol….very easy. I hope this answers your questions. With that said, I'm going to try one out. I may just like it!

I allready have a P90.
I liked the Magpull desighn. This thing is useless with a 16" barrel. Needs an SBR stamp. The only profitable piece I see is the mag clips. I can see them selling a bunch of those. I can allready see the 30 round mags stuck together in the pic thread. |
| The 16 inch barrel is a good idea, without it somebody will inadvertently shoot their support hand (slips forward). I guess the 16 inch barrel would not be considered a SBR under the draconian federal firearm laws? Anybody know? It would be perfect with a 10 inch barrel as a carbine to be carried in an auto. I have a truck and don't have anywhere to store my AR without prying eyes seeing it. |

It must be removed in order to install the charging handle. I imagine it's probably a block of some sort (Just guessing here) that replaces the factory rear sight, with a hole through it to accept the charging handle. The CH BTW can be moved on either side of the stock. I have been added to the pre-order list for a black 16" model from the US distributor. Though no exact ETA as of yet for that model. |

| so if you dont have a glock yet one of these will run you in the neihborhood of 1k. Not an insane amount but there are certainly other options out there. I would try to buy a used slide to mount the conversion to so i would have to mess with the sights on my carry gun. A factory refurbished glock from CDNN would be a great candidate for one of these. pretty decent ergos for a subgun if you ask me. not to mention that they would be similar to your sidearm. |

Would you really want this to double as your carry gun? Your carry gun would then be a registered SBR, more trouble I'd think than it'd be worth to save a few bucks. If you were using the 16" bbl than you can't use it as a carry gun as it can no longer be a pistol. It also does seem to be a semi permanent modification. |

I have been following the HERA product very closely since I first heard about it. It looks pretty nice, but like you mentioned, the details on the assembly seem to not be available. I am not too keen on having to remove that rear sight either.
I am curious to see what they come up with for a 16" barrel. Will they just use that IGB austria one, or will they make their own? Any idea LIONHART? I still think overall the ENDO tactical adapter LINK is a better option because it takes an AR stock, so you could put an adjustable one on it. Its also significantly cheaper than the HERA kit, even once you buy an AR stock assembly. Plus it looks less bulky, and you could remove it quick if you had gun issues.

Hello!
I have had my hera conversion for about month now. My findings:  Really fun to shoot
Glock's terrible trigger is only good on this
compact, light but still quite solid construction
Glock is suprisingly accurate with hera
Charginh handle can be mounted to either side
You must take rear sight away and replace it with hera plastic one (hera works also with Glock standard rear sight, but handle jumps over it once in a while)
Charging handle has own return spring, so charging is quite heavy (my friend took the spring away from his hera, still works... ...but how long?)
Top rail is attached quite poorly to plastic frame, only few screws. I shall see how long it is lasting with aimpoint on top (before the plastic threads break)

Personally I kinda dig it. But I would probably want to have a dedicated used glock for it; don't really like the idea of swapping it out. Would like to see what the accuracy potential is.
Could be perfect for a GHB.... throw that in a pack with a couple 33 rounders, pair it up with a G19 CCW and you're good to go! |

Firstly it is attached from the Glocks own rail inside the hera and tightened with a bolt. Secondly it attaches with upper trigger pin, witch is replaced with hera's longer one. Both attachment points are clearly shown in following pics.

I received a card in teh gunshop last week with one of these conversions on the front. I thought it was a MUST have item. The more I look at it, the more i think i will wait for the MSAR pistol carbine that uses GLOCK mags. What Glocks can you use with this conversion? Can you use a longer barrel? |
