What ammo are you guys running through your glock 26's?

My buddy just picked one up, and cannot find any of the +p+ ammo(seems to be super rare currently and hard to find) for it.

When I got my glock 26, I was recommended to use 115gr +p+ golddots, so thats what I run.

Would you feel undergunned using a glock 26 with normal presurre 115gr's? Seems to be all we can find currently..

I run the Ranger Bonded stuff...my G26 seems to love it.

Winchester Ranger 124 grain +P, it's what i've been using in my 17 for a while and i just ran 34 rounds through my 26 this morning. I love it, did the phone book test and the 55 gal barrel test nothing too scientific.

Never really touched any of the +P+ stuff for 9mm. May have to test some out. When this stuff goes to work with me i have a total of 79 rounds between the 17 & 26. Gets expensive!

Anyone had good experience with TAP stuff in their glocks?

Carrying Fed 115 JHP +P+, same as my other 9mm Glocks. I want to update the ammo but can't afford to presently.

On the range, I shoot my reloads, 125 gr Zeros and Titegroup.

147's from such a short barrel?

Any reason why?

I tried some 147 hydrashocks from my 26, they hardly expanded.

Download the Federal Wound Ballistics Workshop report from the Riverside PD.  Suffice it to say, the HST (which is NOT a Hydra-Shok) is a huge improvement on the performance of Hydra-Shok (and other types) of ammo.  Furthermore, the stuff that you buy at Wal-Mart or Joe's Gun Shop is usually the downloaded civvie version of the Hydra-Shok line.

I like the 147's because they have be loaded to perform well out of short barrels, and they turn in very impressive test results (and not just against bare gelatin).  They are accurate, reliable, and approved and adopted by law enforcement.  I only choose ammo that law enforcement chooses (if it's good enough for them to protect their lives and that of their employers [i.e., the civilian populace], then it's good enough for me).

P9HST2 Federal HST 9MM 147gr tested in Glock 26

Against bare gelatin @ 10'
956fps  13.00" penetration  0.72" avg expansion  149.2gr retained weight  (101.50%)

Against heavy clothing @ 10'
956fps  14.25" penetration  0.62" avg expansion  151gr retained weight  (102.72%)

Through auto glass @ 10'
956fps   7.75" penetration  0.65" avg expansion   133.2gr retained weight  (90.61%)

I just got my 26,  but like all my other 9mm's, I run 124gr +p gold dots and whatever FMJ is on sale.

I carry P9HST4 in my 26, 19, and 34.  This is the 147gr+P HST, this is my first choice.  The P9HST2, 147gr (Non +P) would be my second choice.  Speer 124gr+P Gold Dot/Short Barrel, would be my third.  I buy the best ammo that is available, but I do not worry about it away from the computer screen.  I would carry 115gr Ball before I carried an empty pistol or left it at home.

If I had one, it'd be the same as I run in my G17.  Speer GD, 124 grn.
