OK.
new G 19 15 round pre ban mags (2) gun will only accept mags w/ 14 rounds loaded. ( slide closed) is this normal? If the slide is open it should accept the mag. Is it supposed to work out to be 14+1, rather than 15+1, even though the mag is a 15 rounder? Help! Thanks |

I've been taught to load 2 less rounds than the mag holds so you don't get problems with misfeeds and such. No, load the magazines to capacity and if they are quality magazines and the gun is within specs you will not have problems. Anyway, my new 19 mags were a bear to load and seat, too. The springs will "break in" a little just give it some time. |

OK. good to go...
They are both used. one more than the other. i was aware they were used when I bought them. I just received them in the mail today. I had to pound them in like nothing before... they don't 'pop' out either. I need to kinda take them out. I don't have time to get to the range today, probably not until monday. |

If they're not dropping free, they are probably NFML (non-full metal lined) mags. Much more likely the case with pre-bans since they are older. When they are around half full or more, they won't drop free because the mags bulge and wedge themselves into the magwell. You will have to pull them out. Some may drop free at less than about half full, but that depends on the mag from what I've experienced.
Let us know how they work once you get to the range. |

I figured they were 'bulging' or 'bulged', they looked to be getting a lil scraping when I removed them. thanks. |

ALL my Glock magazines stay loaded, all the time, to full capacity. I shoot through them alot. I have yet to wear out a Glock magazine. |

I can only get 14 in my pre ban U notch W/ the loading tool ![]() Use your man hands and get that round in there. It's not even worth the effort. 2 hands on a table and i could only prob. fit a .22 rimfire. I would have to hit the top of the loader with a hammer. BTW i'm 200lbs. |
