[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question on Glock 19 Magazines

I just purchased some Glock 19 magazines. They are factory magazines, but on the front of the mags a "square" of the metal lining is exposed. They don't appear to be modified in any way. They just look to be made that way. None of the magazines for my Glock 23 are made this way. There is no metal exposed on them at all.

Does this sound correct? Is this a newer version?

Yes that's the latest version from Glock.The cut-out is for a Glock that has "Ambi" Mag release.
