| I am going to be attending an Glock armorers school soon and I was curious- has anyone here attended one and what glock parts do you get for on the cheap? |
|
They gave my class the orange back plate that you can use to inspect the contact between the trigger bar and firing pin, and a Glock Armorer's tool.
The instructor also bashed all of the "internet armorers" who recommend such things as polishing the internals to a mirror finish.

I don't know about 1/2 price but I think we can get them at the list price directly from GLOCK. They gave us an order form that we could use but I can't say what happened to mine.
I usually order parts from OMB express or Brownells, the prices weren't that much different IIRC. |
| i've been too 2 classes.the parts are quite a bit cheaper, but orderin from them is slow.pins and such are a buck plus tax and shippin.barrels 100 or so if i remember.i quit attendin when they went to 150 for the school.it's fun though, both times i had a delightful lady instructor who was fairly easy on the eyes and funny.most online parts vendors don't mark there stuff up too much, but it was fun class. |

I went to an armorers course yesterday...
The instructor was pretty good, and a lot of literature was given out. The prices that armorers can get parts for seems to be about the same as OMB Police Express, but I haven't done any side by side comparisons. I also got the orange slide plate, and Glock punch, and a Glock pen. The pen didn't work. |

Just buy the Ptooma manual ($30). It will teach you more than the Glock "armorer" course. While there's nothin' like hands-on instruction from a factory rep, yes, I have that book and it's very informative and in-depth. Seems to have alot more information than the Glock Armorers Manual I have. |
