How do you install an extended mag release? I can see that it's held in with the spring but how do you remove it? I presume the spring needs to be removed?

Don't remove the spring completely, use a small flat blade screwdriver or a hooked style dental pick to get spring out of slot, push out mag release. Hold spring up to install new release, push into slot.
