On the newer
G21sf magazines how do you take off the baseplates? |

I am sure its the same as the other magazines I would think check this link out |

In my experience I first attempt it like in the video posted. I try again with more force. Then I scream and cuss the designer damning him to hell while using ancient Greco-Roman wrestling techniques for 10-15 minutes, applying enough force to kill 10 men until it comes off.
Then I sit on the floor exhausted looking at the magazine thinking I`ll have to put the magazine in the "range use only" box because it must be FUBAR`d some how. I usually finish up by cussing the designer again including his family and some stuff about burning his house down and things like that. There is zero reason those Nazi torture device tabs should be on those mags. No one else uses them on theirs and they stay on and come off with ease. |

A simpler method is to get an old philips head screw driver with a longer shank than the Glock Armor's tool, grind the tip flat, stick it in as far as it will go, and then lever off your baseplate. The new mags are a bit tough so the extra length gives you a better lever to slide them off. The secret is to insert the lever far into the mag base and then lever it over. |
| I use a screwdriver to push up the retainer plate. Then I use the "Glock mag pliers" from Brownells to gently squeeze the sides of the mag thereby allowing the floor plate to slide off easily. |
