So I decided I needed another G17 to use as a backup for my main G17 and also as a semi-dedicated frame for an AA kit I have on order. I also decided I wanted it to have an OD frame partly just for something different and partly so that I can quickly tell it apart from my other G17. Now I know the OD frame Glocks tend to catch a lot of flack from some people because they generally aren't really OD green, more like FDE. To me that's great, I like FDE better and fits into a new color scheme I've been putting together (go-to guns are Black, backups\training guns\.22's are some shade of tan\FDE\Coyote).

So cool, I set out looking for an OD G17 but I can't find one (for a decent price) anywhere. After a few months I finally find a brand new one on-line for a fair price so I buy it. I go pick pick it up from the FFL and guess what? I managed to buy the only true OD green G17 ever made!!! Not really a big deal but it's just another example of the kind of luck I have. If I actually wanted an OD green Glock, I would have gotten an FDE one. Just the way things seem to go for me sometimes

Well on the up side, this thing is definitely a virgin with a 1-13-09 DOB. I had forgotten how tight\stiff a Glock can feel when new! Anyway, here's the mandatory pic...

BTW - a did have to take several pictures trying all sorts of different lighting and angles to finally snap one that pretty much shows it's true color. Considering that and it's newness, I'm wondering if I left it out and let it get some natural light if the color might mellow to that FDE I was hoping for?

Still, a great looking weapon.

Thanks - I agree. I don't know why so many people think Glocks are ugly? It's not why I buy them but I think they are very sexy, especially in Gen III form
