I found my new carry peice today. I got to lay fingers on a 30SF and think for a gun of it's size, feels good in my hand.

Since being bitten by the Glock bug, I have talked myself into "needing" a new ccw/truck gun. So a few weeks ago I went to the gun store and had already conceded to the fact a weak moment was likley. Always has to be a .45 so I figured the 30 would fit the bill, that is till I got to handle one. Didn't fit my hand for squat. They had a 36 and I could live with it but wasn't happy about the capacity. Came home empty handed that day and decided I wanted to look at the 30SF before deciding.

Two questions, first the one I handled had Glock night sights and I was less than impressed. That was just a first impression so I was looking for some in put on the factory offerings vs the aftermarket. Second, can it be had in green?

I have the tru glo TFO's on my 29 and 30sf and they are great during the day and easy to pick up at night as well and see them just fine on the nightstand. I have no problem with them snagging or anything when I carry CCW.

I had the same problem with the G30.  It did not fit my hands well.  The G30SF solved the problem.  Very nice pistol

I traded my Glock 30 for a Glock 30SF.  And I traded my Glock 21 for a Glock 21SF.

Think I'll go for the standard Glock sights and add night versions later. Anybody know if it 's made in green?

Held one the other day- sweet pistol... But consoldating ammo and moved different calibers to one caliber. Cheaper for ammo hording and also more practice.....

I've got a few Glock 21 mags on hand and am considering a new Glock 30sf.  Will a 30sf take the standard 21 (not 21sf) mags?

Yes they will work.I've got a New 30SF and a 21SF.Old or new style ambi-cut will work in the 30 but not the 21SF.

The 30sf will absolutely be my next handgun purchase.

Feels great in my hand, unlike all other Glock's I have tried.

I picked one up the other day. Very nice; 11 (10+1) rounds of .45 ACP in a package only a tad wider than a G19 isn't bad at all....

I just bought one this morning!

I have to wait though about a week to pick it up.  In NY, the gun has to be added to your license after being signed off by the judge.

Like someone else posted above, I have the Glock bug now too.  My last addition to my collection was a G19.  Very nice piece but I love the big holes that a .45 makes.

I'm certain that my Sig P220 will become a safe queen now.
